How East Coast Drone Media collects, uses, protects and retains personal information when you use the website or enquire about our services.
1. Who we are
East Coast Drone Media is the trading name used for this drone photography, video and inspection service. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean East Coast Drone Media.
We provide services through eastcoastdrone.co.uk. For privacy enquiries or requests about your personal information, please use the website enquiry form and state that your message is a data protection request.
2. What personal information we collect
When you make an enquiry or use our services, we may collect:
- your name;
- your email address and telephone number;
- the property or site address;
- your preferred date and service type;
- details you include in your enquiry;
- your confirmation that you have permission for the requested filming; and
- technical information generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser/device information, security logs and basic usage information where supplied by our hosting or security services.
We do not intentionally ask you to provide special category information through the booking form. Please do not put unnecessary sensitive information into the free-text enquiry box.

- to arrange and deliver agreed drone photography, video or inspection services;

5. Drone photographs and video
Drone operations can incidentally capture identifiable people, vehicles, neighbouring property or other personal information. We handle such material in accordance with our Drone Privacy Notice and applicable UK data protection and aviation requirements.
We do not deliberately film inside private homes or other places where people would reasonably expect privacy unless there is a lawful and specific reason to do so.
6. Who we share information with
We may share personal information only where reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the website, comply with the law or protect our legitimate interests. This can include:
- our website hosting and form-processing provider, Netlify;
- our email service provider where enquiry messages are delivered to our business inbox;
- professional advisers or insurers where reasonably necessary;
- law enforcement, regulators, courts or other authorities where legally required; and
- service providers who process information on our behalf under appropriate contractual or legal arrangements.
We do not sell customer personal information.
7. International transfers
Some technology providers we use may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and suitable safeguards are in place as required by applicable data protection law.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. As a guide, enquiry records may normally be retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact if there is no ongoing business relationship.
Customer, payment and accounting records may need to be retained for longer where required by tax, accounting, insurance or other legal obligations. Images and video created for a customer may normally be retained for up to 12 months after delivery unless a different period is agreed or retention is necessary for a legal or insurance purpose.

Subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing and data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise a right, use the website enquiry form and clearly mark your message as a data protection request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the booking form.
