EAST COAST DRONE MEDIA
Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to enquiries, quotations and drone photography, video and inspection services.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to enquiries, quotations and drone photography, video and inspection services supplied by East Coast Drone Media through eastcoastdrone.co.uk.
By requesting a service, you agree to these terms together with any specific written quotation or booking confirmation we provide.
2. Services and prices
Our advertised starting prices are £20 for residential properties, £40 for commercial properties and £45 for site inspections. Prices are subject to the scope of work, location, access, flight conditions and availability.
A booking is not confirmed merely because an enquiry has been submitted. We will confirm availability, the agreed service, price and suitable time before the service takes place.
3. Payment
Payment is due in cash after the agreed service has been completed, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
4. Customer responsibilities
- You must provide accurate contact and property/site information.
- You must have permission from the property owner or relevant person to request the filming.
- You must tell us about known hazards, access restrictions, events or other circumstances that could affect the flight.
- You must not ask us to carry out a flight that would breach aviation, privacy, trespass, safety or other applicable law.
- You are responsible for ensuring that any people who need to be present or who are under your control are appropriately informed about the planned activity.
5. Flight safety, weather and airspace
All flights are subject to applicable UK aviation rules, CAA requirements, safety considerations, privacy obligations, airspace restrictions and the pilot’s professional judgement.
We may postpone, change or cancel a flight if weather, wind, visibility, equipment, airspace, site conditions, privacy concerns, safety concerns or any other lawful consideration makes the proposed operation unsuitable.
We do not guarantee that a particular shot, route, height or flight plan will be possible.
6. Access and third-party property
You must ensure that we can lawfully access any property or site that you have asked us to film. We will not enter private land without appropriate permission. We will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary intrusion into neighbouring property or private areas.
7. Delivery of photographs and video
We will normally provide agreed photographs and video digitally. Delivery times depend on the job and the amount of processing required. Unless a different deliverable is agreed, the service does not include extensive editing, retouching, 3D modelling, surveying certification or professional structural/engineering reports.
8. Ownership and permitted use
Unless otherwise agreed, you may use the final photographs and video supplied to you for the ordinary promotional, property-sale, business or personal purpose for which the service was commissioned.
You must not claim that footage was created by another person or use it in a way that is unlawful or misleading. Any separate licensing restrictions or agreed usage terms will take priority over this general clause.
9. Portfolio and marketing use
We will not assume that we can publicly use identifiable customer property imagery for our own portfolio or advertising simply because we carried out the job. Where we want to use material in a way that identifies a customer, private property or another person, we will seek appropriate permission where required.
10. Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an enquiry or confirmed booking, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible using the website enquiry form. We may need to rearrange the work where weather, safety or availability changes.
11. Liability
We will provide the services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of profit arising from a service, except where the law does not allow such a limitation.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of the service, please contact us through the website enquiry form with details of the issue. We will review the matter and try to resolve it fairly.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version applying to a particular booking will normally be the version in force when the booking is confirmed, unless a later change is required by law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
